What is 1.4841 (AISI 314)?
Grade 1.4841 (often listed with equivalents such as AISI 314, DIN X15CrNiSi25-21 or PN H25N20S2) is an austenitic heat‑resistant stainless steel. It contains higher chromium and nickel levels with silicon additions to improve scaling and oxidation resistance at high temperatures. In practice this grade is commonly referred to as heat resistant stainless steel or high‑temperature stainless steel.

- High temperature resistance: Good resistance to oxidation and scaling up to approximately 1150°C in many atmospheres; in sulphurous or fume‑containing environments performance is typically reliable to around 1000°C depending on concentrations and exposure time.
